Stewart Hoffman is a Toronto-based vibraphonist, drummer, percussionist, jazz band and wedding band leader, drum teacher and educator.  A graduate of the Juilliard School, he has been playing jazz, orchestral and popular music, teaching percussion and drum set, and directing percussion ensembles for over twenty years.  Stewart’s articles on music and the arts have been featured in many of Canada’s leading periodicals.

His Toronto cocktail and wedding bands feature elegant, swinging performances of jazz standards and pop and Latin classics highlighted by the luxurious blend of vibraphone and guitar.

The Band Teacher’s Percussion Guide addresses the challenges of incorporating percussion into the junior high and high school music program.  A life-long teacher and clinician – and a former classroom teacher himself – Stewart has written articles and developed downloadable materials that will benefit educators and students alike.  And don’t hesitate to Ask Stewart to answer all your percussion questions.
